Any song with Daft Punk always seems to get to me — their infectious grooves, smooth electronic beats, knack for rhythm and funk, soul and pop, creating worlds of soundscapes and music. Their distinct style is heard through any song, including one with The Weeknd.
“I Feel It Coming” has been dominating the Billboard charts for weeks and every time it comes on the radio, I never get tired of it (and the lyrics hit a little too close to home).
“You’ve been scared of love and what it did to you
You don’t have to run, I know what you’ve been through“
Easily, I picked up my guitar and attempted to learn a fingerstyle version of it (complete with rhythm and melody sections so as to mimic both parts of the song). After two nights and one recording, I came up with this video and decided to share it with you all.
I was planning to make a little “music video” to go along with it, but I figure that could come another time when I can get an audio recording that isn’t so fuzzy. But in the meantime, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Let’s continue to put our hearts and work out there that matters — because in the end, that’s all we can do!
With love and honesty,
Rachel
