“Dream Girl“

You could see it in her eyes
She was a prize among the guys
Looking for a real one
Someone she could outrun
Tired feeling undone
You could see it in her heart
Battered with cold lines
History’s made marks
Always falling apart
Her beauty is a work of art
She was just a dream
She was just your dream girl
But she was better as just a dream
Than as your girl.
Does your heart always drift with the wind
Find no reason to keep you locked in
And when you’re always stealing glances
When’s time to take your chances?
