This just made my night.

This is one of the most original and hip cover songs I’ve seen in a while. Featuring a band literally on the road from Phoenix, AZ to Pioneertown, CA, this raw video recorded on an iPhone features rock and folk singer-songwriter Nicki Bluhm grooving along to 1980’s rock-and-soul duo Hall & Oates‘ classic hit “I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do),” played by those bearded-men called the Grumblers. If you’ve never heard of Hall & Oates, they’re one of the grooviest, most legendary duos (in my own opinion) to ever rock this earth! They fused rock and soul at a period in the 80’s where our radios were filled with synthesized dance-rhythms and techno-jams, giving us something truly raw and original in their time (and, to add, they melted just about every teenage girl’s heart). Their songs are still so relevant and ever-groovy today! (And, if you know me well enough, you’d know how easily I gush over Hall & Oates…)
