I never thought I’d find myself here.
I never thought I’d be the one sitting here, interviewing 40+ hopeful applicants to be a part of my team.
I never thought I’d be holding, organizing, and facilitating meetings with 33 of my peers, just as passionate about this project as I am.
I never thought I’d be standing in front of them all—with my all awkwardness, quietude, meekness and introversion—being that leader they look up to.
I never thought my simple days of being pulled into dancing with my family would push me to want to lead, and teach, others.
I never thought, nor did any of my brothers think, we would uphold a legacy for directing these productions.
I never thought I would coordinate and direct my own production to a house of 1,200+ guests with a cast of 300 members, all working to promote our passion, culture, and reality.
I never thought I’d be standing here, as that girl who writes her life away in a tiny journal and silently passes by all those who walk into her life, with hopeful dreams of playing music and living the lonely life of any artist…
I never thought I’d be standing here, where I am.
This sure is damn scary. But, it’ll be good for me, right? I’ll learn, grow, and learn so much more about myself…
I just need to be honest with everyone I’m working with. Let them know my own hopes. Let them know who I am. And I hope we all truly create something special. Not just within ourselves, but on that stage as well…
I never thought I would find myself here.
