Earlier this week, KFOG began a segment called “What’s That, Matt?” where they’re asking listeners to send in songs to try and stump new DJ Matt Pinfield. (You can try your luck here.) Matt is the radio king, seeming to know all the ins and outs and behind-the-scenes stories of some of the greatest rock artists of our time.
Rules state:
Fill out the form below and include either a mp3 or a link to a song that you think Matt Pinfield won’t recognize. The song can be any song since 1990 that reached the Billboard Hot 100. Prizes change weekly and if your choice stumps Matt, you’ll win the prize of that day.
Challenge accepted!
I decided to scour Billboard’s Hot 100 early 1990s list to find songs that were obscure from artists I haven’t heard of/are unfamiliar to me… which is how I landed on this one.
Looks like I’ll be heading out to the Fox Theatre later this Fall to see the Cold War Kids! Ready to “Hang Me Up To Dry”?
