“Somebody Else” (The 1975 Cover)

So I heard you found somebody else…

The 1975, you done did me good.

I’ll admit, “Somebody Else” was the song that first got me hooked to The 1975 and the only song I really knew from them when I saw them live a year ago. I remember that exact moment: I was driving to some of my dearest friends’ house in Oakland on a weeknight, to enjoy our company out on those East Bay streets and reminisce over good times (probably with some wine, maybe some ice cream after).

This song breaks my heart every time, and ever since I heard it back home for the first time during that cold Bay Area winter a little more than a year ago, it stole my heart and I could not get that infectious melody out of my head.

I’m hoping to carve more time out this year to record more, up my recording game, and perhaps bring you a couple original demos (it’s about time isn’t it?).

But for now, I hope you enjoy. ❤

With love and honesty,

Rachel

I don’t want your body
But I hate to think about you with somebody else
Our love has gone cold
You’re intertwining your soul with somebody else
