“The Chain” (Fleetwood Mac Cover)

“Listen to the wind blow, watch the sun rise
Running in the shadows, damn your love, damn your lies”

The acoustic guitar has always been my first love and instrument, and there’s nothing better I love than a good folk rhythm. I’ve been revisiting a few of my favorite songs on the acoustic, so of course I’d return to the fingerpicking maestro that is Lindsey Buckingham of Fleetwood Mac.

This is a song I had first learned back in college and recorded on my MacBook Pro. I thought I’d revisit it, refine it a bit, and see what a few years later could do… lol. I am also that crazy person that spends an entire day learning and practicing a song, and then forces herself to record it that same day.

Is it polished enough? I do not quite know. But here is the result of that product.

The music and soul of those times were something else… #quarantinesessions

With love and honesty,

Rachel
