Bastille performs a quick set at Amoeba Music, Berkeley (September 19, 2013)

Bastille – Pompeii (Live @ Amoeba Music, Berkeley, CA, 9/19/2013)

Up-and-coming British band Bastille made a quick appearance at Amoeba Music in Berkeley, CA, just before their performance that same night at America’s Cup Pavilion in San Francisco.

The 250-limited wristbanded event came with free signed CD booklets from the band and a short 4-song set (as an apology for not being able to do a signing after the show).

I have to say, live performances (and especially acoustic ones) let me know when I really love or appreciate a band. I admit that I only know one of their songs, “Pompeii,” (and it’s only their acoustic version I know) but they put off a lovely performance that was nice for a free show!

Everything’s always better in good company, and I’m glad to have shared it with a close, old friend. 🙂

So, what do you think of the band? Any thoughts? Have you seen them live at all recently? I’d love to hear your experiences! What is it that you love about them (since I myself haven’t been too acquainted with them myself)?
