Company Of Thieves was one of my favorite bands growing up, right behind Meg & Dia, for the past years in high school. I was so sad I wasn’t able to catch them live in their years before their hiatus. Genevieve was always a woman with so much soul and groove in her voice, and she had such a knack for conveying emotion and getting lost in it–something that I really identify within singers.

This is a bit of an old song, as she released it last year, but dang. You have to witness this woman yourself. Her voice takes you in like no other.
