Variety’s “Actors on Actors” series pairs Keira Knightley and Ethan Hawke to reflect on early success

Ethan Hawke and Keira Knightley grace the cover of VARIETY Magazine’s December 2014 issue.

Were you ever swooned by Ethan Hawke‘s young, juvenile charm and boyish smile in early films such as “Dead Poet’s Society” and “Great Expectations”? How about Keira Knightley‘s utter elegance, grace and uncanny quirk in films such as “Bend It Like Beckham” or “Pride & Prejudice”?

The two actors, as provided by Variety Studio, took to asking each other about reaching success early, becoming A-list “hunks” and “hotties” and the criticism they have dealt with while approaching adult roles.

Keira reflects that she will randomly come across a review and it will be “the worst review for anything where they absolutely hate me.” She laughs, continuing, “I’ve only ever seen bad ones. I’m hoping that there are good ones out there!”

Ethan suavely retaliates by posing, “Well try aging!”
