Last night, I called in to a live radio podcast called BoycrazyRadio, for the first time in my life. Actress Shannyn Sossamon (A Knight’s Tale, 40 Days and 40 Nights) was a special guest on Wednesday night’s show, so I knew I couldn’t let up the opportunity to call in.

I recorded our little radio conversation, led by hostess Alexi Wasser, to hold onto the memory.

I asked Shannyn about my discomfort with boys and not feeling that love kind of feeling in return with them. I admit that I feel as if my question may have been a little “off,” seeing to it that I had no real problem and just wanted to discuss it, but they did bring up a lot of good points in this phone call–about knowing when you’re ready, realizing those “gems that got away” and never feeling guilty when you don’t have those feelings in return. In this 11-or-so-minute conversation, I mainly listened along to them as they discussed these points in their lives (and, I was just a little giddy to be live on the phone with them).

But, if I had taken anything from them (besides it being a “study break” from writing my paper), it was that 1) You’ll know love when you know it, 2), You’ll be ready when you are, and 3) Never feel guilty for never returning those feelings in a relationship.
