I Need A “One Dance” (Drake Cover)

Baby, I like your style…

This is a quick recording I did during some downtime at home last week, inspired by Kate Earl’s reggae-infused rendition of “One Dance” by Drake. I decided to jam to it myself and play around with the loop.

Side note: It’s been one month since I’ve moved out and I’m just getting into the groove of things. I’ve already driven more than 3000+ miles, spent more time in my car than at home, spent overnights from Orange County to LA and back, drank a little too much, slept a little too much/less, been to a couple shows, breathed in the salty ocean air, got sand in my toes, ate my face off, interviewed a few and written a lot, and tried to keep my musical soul alive by writing about it all in-between.

Life has become pretty busy for the summer. My eager soul is learning to say “yes” to some things and “no” to others. But I’ve been keeping my head up while taking care of myself the best I can. All I know is this is temporary and I’m hoping to make the most of it.

With love and honesty,

Rachel
