You can’t know light without the dark.
Life’s been rough lately. We’re starting to see the other side of this quarantine and I don’t even know if I’m ready for it. The burnout; the creative frustrations; the feeling I can never catch a break; or the fact I fainted while having my period and vaccine all at the same time.
If there’s one thing I’ve held onto this past year, it’s the little things — these views, this air, the sun and the trees and the flowers and the sky.
I’ve been writing songs inspired by this. I don’t know if they’ll ever see the light of day. Hell, I seem to stop myself before I even try. But it’s made me fall in love with life all over again.
How can you not think and believe this world is so god damn beautiful?
I found joy in the little things. My life became simpler. And it is within that simplicity that I found and returned to my power.
Just light it up. And open your mind.
