Air Drumming Workout: Should This Workout Come to the Bay Area?

Let’s face it–it’s hard to stick to a workout when it isn’t fun. So when I heard of this new workout that gets you fit by air drumming, I was hooked. (Who wouldn’t want to jam out to their favorite tunes and get a hardcore workout at the same time?!)

The POUND workout class, founded by two female drummers, is a cardio workout that uses mock drumsticks in a variety of exercises for strength training, yoga and pilates.

We all know how intense drumming can be. It works out all areas of your arms and core all while keeping a beat. The workout has been taking over L.A., and for good reason–it makes working out seem so much more fun.

But is it just a fad? Or would you take this if it were in the Bay Area, as well?

I’ve compiled a list of a few of my favorite “dream” drum songs–songs that are infectiously catchy but also filled with some really great drum moments. What would you drum out to?
