Hayley Kiyoko is one of pop music’s most exciting individuals today, and ever since the release of her anthemic “Feelings,” the song has been everything I’ve been feeling as of late.

Naturally, I had to cover it.

“I over communicate and feel too much
I just complicate it when I say too much
I laugh about it, dream about that casual touch
Sex, fire, sick and tired of acting all tough”

Her sold-out debut at the El Rey Theatre last month was stellar and I was so glad to have been able to witness her live: she’s charismatic, lively, energetic, a natural performer and icon for the LGBT community (and you could only imagine how much love is felt in the room during her shows).
